    NSA / Dudley Super World Series — How to Qualify

    How to Qualify for Super Worlds

    Please see details below for each TYPE of Tournament - Qualifying Procedures
      
    After a team receives a berth, they MUST VALIDATE the berth. Spring, Fall and Winter State or World Series do not validate berths.

    After a team receives a berth, they MUST meet the deadline to send Entry Form & PAY Fee.

    Travel Money: Some qualifying tournaments offer travel money toward the Super World Series. See below on which type of tournaments offer travel money. Travel money is to be given by the NSA National Office only. Teams will receive their travel  funds in the form of a check made payable to their representative on file for the coach/manager listed through the online system - in the NSA National Office. Travel checks will be handed out AFTER the team has participated in their FIRST GAME at the SUPER WORLD SERIES. Teams that do not participate are not eligible to receive travel money. If for any reason a team does not have enough players or are a NO SHOW, those teams do not meet the requirement to receive travel money.


       

    PARTICIPATION BERTH

    Teams must participate in ALL of the following:
    • Participate in four (4) total World Series Qualifiers and/or Super NIT's
    • Participate in your respective State Championships
    • Participate in either the Super Regional or World Series

    Travel from PARTICIPATION BERTH:  None

    VALIDATION: The team will meet the validation if they participate in ALL of the tournaments to meet the Participation Berth requirements.  If the team fails to participate in all of the required tournaments, they will lose the berth.

    SUPER WORLD NIT's

    Single Class Divisions:  "C" - "D" - "E"

    1st Place in the single class NIT will receive an unpaid Super Berth & Travel Money. Additional berths can be awarded in the following situations:

    • If the NIT has 12-23 teams participate, two (2) berths can be awarded, but only if the team has a 2-2 or better record for the tournament.
    • If the NIT has 24 + teams participate, three (3) berths can be awarded, but only if the additional teams have a 2-2 or better record for the tournament.

     

    Combined Division: "B/C"

    The "B/C" is the ONLY combined division that will be allowed. B/C Combined division berths:

    The highest finishing in each class, B Class and C Class will receive an unpaid berth to the Super World with Travel Money. Additional berths can be awarded in the following situations:

    • If the NIT has 12+ teams participate, two (2) berths can be awarded, but only if the team has a 2-2 or better record for the tournament.
    • One "B Class" berth and one "C Class" berth will be awarded, regardless of the number of teams in the tournament for each of the B/C combined Super World NIT.  


    TRAVEL from NIT's:  

    • FIRST PLACE travel is based on $50 per team in the NIT tournament.
    • SECOND PLACE, travel is based on $25 per team in the NIT tournament.
    • Berths and Travel money will be passed until accepted.
    • Travel is retained by the respective classifications.  Example: 3 B teams and 8 C teams would be as follows: The "B" division berth and travel would be $150, the "C" division berth and travel would be $400. Based on the number of teams in the B/C NIT from each classification.

                
    VALIDATION for berth received at a SUPER NIT: Team MUST Participate in STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS - PLUS either the Super Regional or World Series


    STATE CHAMPIONSHIP or SUPER STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

    Men's teams must qualify to participate in their State Championships - contact your State Director.


    1st Place at STATE or SUPER STATE will receive an unpaid Super Berth & Travel Money. Additional berths can be awarded in the following situations:

    • If the STATE has 16-23 teams participate, two (2) berths can be awarded, but only if the team has a 2-2 or better record for the tournament.
    • If the STATE has 24 + teams participate, three (3) berths can be awarded, but only if the additional teams have a 2-2 or better record for the tournament.

    TRAVEL from STATE or SUPER STATE:  None

    VALIDATION for berth received at STATE or SUPER STATE: Team MUST Participate in either the Super Regional or World Series



    SUPER REGIONAL

    Finish 1st or 2nd Place in a SUPER REGIONAL. Men's teams must qualify to participate in their SUPER REGIONAL - contact your State Director.


    1st Place in the Super Regional will receive an unpaid DIRECT Berth to the Super World & Travel Money.

     2nd Place in the Super Regional will receive an unpaid DIRECT Berth to the Super World & Travel Money

    TRAVEL from SUPER REGIONAL: FIRST PLACE travel is based on $50 per team in SUPER REGIONAL tournament. SECOND PLACE travel is based on $25 per team in SUPER REGIONAL tournament.

    VALIDATION for berth received at a SUPER REGIONAL: Berths awarded at the Super Regional tournament are a DIRECT BERTH to the SUPER WORLD SERIES, meaning the team may bypass the World Series.


       
    WORLD SERIES

    Finish 1st through 3rd Place or TOP 30% whichever is greater. Men's teams must qualify to participate in their WORLD SERIES - contact your State Director.


    1st Place in the WORLD SERIES will receive an unpaid DIRECT Berth to the Super World & Travel Money
    2nd Place
    in the WORLD SERIES will receive an unpaid DIRECT Berth to the Super World & Travel Money
    3rd Place in the WORLD SERIES will receive an unpaid DIRECT Berth to the Super World - NO Travel Money

    TOP 30% if greater than 3 teams will receive a DIRECT Super Berth - NO Travel Money

    TRAVEL from WORLD SERIES: FIRST PLACE travel is based on $50 per team in WORLD SERIES tournament. SECOND PLACE travel is based on $25 per team in WORLD SERIES tournament.
     
    VALIDATION for berth received at a WORLD SERIES: NONE. Berths awarded at the WORLD SERIES tournament are a DIRECT BERTH to the SUPER WORLD SERIES.
